The Great Leaps Digital Reading Program is a researched based program whose primary emphasis is fluency. The assumption is that reading comprehension will improve if the student becomes a more fluent reader. 

 

Each tutoring session is composed of three components: Phonics, Sight Phrases, and Stories.

 

• The phonics portion of the lesson systematically teaches essential skills to full proficiency. 

 

• The sight phrase portion builds speed and accuracy by eliminating high frequency word errors. 

 

• The stories are age appropriate and help students develop into fluent, independent  readers with proper intonation and comprehension.
